Football...Soccer....Football...Soccer...Football...Soccer...You see my point

Carson is enjoying his first season of Soccer on the Celina Storm with Misti and I as the coaches and all his best buds on the team.  We are having a great time but having a little trouble keeping Carson on his feet.  Let's just say he likes to go for the whole karate-fall down backwards and sideways every time he kicks the ball move.  I keep trying to tell him that if he stayed on his feet that he would have a better chance of scoring a goal.  He has made one goal so far this season.

"Yes" back to the circle

We spend the weekends traveling to and from soccer and football games in different towns but love every minute of it.  Christian absolutely loves football and I love watching him get excited about it.  Every day he talks to us about practice, good plays he made, runs routes, so on and so on. Here is his football picture for this year.

Christian loves having family come watch him play.  Every game day he asks if he is going to have any family there!  I'd say he has a pretty good cheering section!

It's Going To Be A Good Year

School is off to a great start for the boys.  We are 5 weeks in to the school year and Christian lets me know everyday that he has not gotten in trouble one time this year.  He has Mr. Pasqua walk him to the car each afternoon to tell me what a wonderful day Christian had and that each day he gets better and better.  Let's hope I am not jinxing anything.   It is very refreshing.

Sunday afternoon I left the boys to watch football while I went to trade days with the girls.  As we were walking around my phone rang and when I looked down it was Mr. Pasqua.  I thought to myself, why in the world would Christian's teacher be calling today, so I nervously answered.  He immediately asked for Christian and wanted to talk to him about the Cowboys game to let him know that if the Cowboys lossed, Christian would be missing out on recess.  I told him Christian was home with dad watching the game but I would let him know I called.  To my surprise when I got home later, I went to tell Christian Mr. Pasqua called for him and he said, "I know, he called dad's phone".

At the start of the year Chad had told Mr. Pasqua that when Christian is interested in something he wants to know anything and everything about it.  Starting from about 3 years of age it went from dinosaurs to Nascar and now the Cowboys!  He can name players from way back when, tell you their stats, nicknames, etc.  The boy is obsessed with football.  During the first week of school Mr. Pasqua offered Christian some trivia questions about the Cowboys in which he answered all of them correctly.  I am really looking forward to the rest of the school year.  Let's hope we end the same way we started!

Look What I Did Today

Since it appears that my scrapbooking efforts have gone out the window and I could not tell you the last time I had pictures developed, I finally broke down and decided to create a blog.  This will be my online journal so that I can remember the day to day happenings of our family.  While I am excited about the potential I am also completely overwhelmed about how to actually go about doing it.  It will definitely be a work in progress so stay tuned......
